About the Author: Lucas Constantino Mari

Founder and editor, CapitalAtlass · Valencia, Spain

I’m Lucas Constantino Mari, the person behind CapitalAtlass. I’m an independent researcher and writer based in Valencia, Spain, and for the last few years I’ve spent most of my time studying how the U.S. financial system works from the consumer side: brokerage accounts and investing apps, banks, insurance, the housing market and digital assets such as NFTs.

I started CapitalAtlass because comparing financial products online is harder than it should be. Fees are buried in PDFs, account rules change every year, and many “best of” lists repeat the same picks without explaining who they suit. My goal is to put the key facts side by side, explain the trade-offs in plain English and point you to the official source so you can check them yourself.

What I am — and what I am not

I am not a licensed financial advisor, broker, tax professional or attorney, and I don’t hold professional financial certifications. Nothing on this site is personalized advice. I write as a researcher: I read providers’ published fee schedules and account terms, and guidance from bodies such as the IRS, the SEC, FINRA and SIPC, and I summarize what I find. Before making a financial decision, confirm the details with the provider and, where appropriate, a qualified professional.
